Marathon Alternator Models We Service
We service all Marathon Electric (Regal Rexnord) generator and alternator products including the Magnaplus, Magnamax, and legacy DVR series. Our experience covers Marathon alternators from small single-phase units to large industrial three-phase generators used in standby, prime power, and continuous duty applications.
Marathon DVR (Digital Voltage Regulator) Service
Marathon alternators use the DVR2000E and other digital voltage regulators for precise output control. We diagnose DVR faults, reprogram settings, and replace failed modules. Common DVR issues include voltage hunting, over/under voltage conditions, and communication errors with paralleling switchgear.
Complete Rewinding Services
Our Brooklyn facility handles complete Marathon alternator rewinding including main stator, rotor, and exciter windings. We strip the old copper, clean and inspect lamination stacks for damage, rewind with new conductors matching the original configuration, varnish dip for insulation, and bake to cure. Every rewound Marathon alternator is tested under load before delivery.
Marathon Bearing and Mechanical Service
Generator bearings are subject to fatigue, contamination, and misalignment. We replace main bearings, inspect bearing housings for wear, check shaft runout and alignment, and install new seals. For generators with excessive vibration, we perform dynamic balancing of the rotor assembly to eliminate vibration-induced bearing wear.
